IGL CERTIFICATES

The IGL Certificate provides a reliable and accurate documentation of your diamond or jewelry's identity and grade based on the internationally recognized diamond grading system. Using state-of-the-art equipment, each diamond or piece of jewelry is analyzed by a certified gemologist in order to provide the most accurate description of the product’s quality and characteristics.

The carat, color, clarity and cut – commonly known as the 4 C’s of each loose diamond or center stone are clearly stated. Additional grading characteristics such as the finish, girdle, cutlet and fluorescence are also detailed on the certificate.

The 4 C's of Diamonds

Carat

Carat is the unit of measurement used to describe the weight of diamonds.

Color

Colorless diamonds are the most desirable since they allow the most refraction of light (sparkle). Off white diamonds absorb light, inhibiting brilliance.

Clarity

Clarity refers to the tiny, natural imperfections that are present in all but the rarest stones. The less inclusions, the better the clarity. Gemologists refer to these imperfections by a variety of technical names, including blemishes and inclusions.

Cut

A diamond's cut grade is an objective measure of a diamond's light performance, or, what we generally think of as sparkle.
